In UNILAG, life begins at Night….lol.

God created the night and the day. He made them appear at certain times. So far as night exists in UNILAG, it can never be evaded by any Akokite.

Night life in this particular campus usually begin around 7pm upward. Students especially guys stay outside and enjoy the view of unilag girls in their school night uniform (bumshort).

The school has a lot of night life centers but the most remarkable and lively centre is newhall. Newhall comprises of 5 hostels. Two male and three female hostel hence populated with girls.

In this hall, shows are constantly organized. Let’s say it’s the heartbeat of unilag when it comes to social activities because it is spacious and can contain over a thousand student for an event without prior notice.

Things are done open here such as neck cuddling, kissing, abnormal hugs, drinking and wooing a girl without being shy. For the gurus, night life for them is a call to go and read. While the business oriented people see it has a means to extort lovers through the sale of chicken n chips(regulars), suya (affordables) and lots of lovers stuff.

Another trend of behavior also is hanging out at the fountain in front of GT bank now referred to as the new love scene/garden because of its fountain, beautiful flowers and fancy chairs that are picture worthy.

Come to think of it, the general belief or sort of like a norm that bubbling is on Friday and Saturday nights is not the case in this highly
revered campus though, every night is a party even assignments and exams can’t and do not hinder the hunger to party.

Some of the notable party venues/clubs are club frenzy, which is just a walk from the campus; club O reloaded situated in fola agoro; Mozida lounge in Ikeja, vertigo bar
and lounge in Elegushi and a lot of others which am not allowed to mention (forgot them) Distance seems to be no threat, as there are readily available cabs to get you wherever you want (na money kill am).

Ever been to Oshodi in the afternoon? Like when the day is at its peak? That’s a good picture of how UNILAG looks like at night, very close to midnight. This gets one wondering if there is no fear of the bad guys in their heart even with the recent killing.

You can still find a girl and her male counterpart, could be her lover or friend, taking a walk around campus to the sacred romance spot #Lagoonfront or some quickie smootie corners In the school where light and securities pay blind eye to. What happens there you can tell.
